My long experience has enabled me to help people in diversified contexts to resolve their difficulties, to access a better mental health and to reach personal growth.

Lindi Gurtzweiler-Herrin is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the United States. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling and a Doctoral Degree in International Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Ms. Herrin is trained In Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapies (DBT). She has extensive clinical experience encompassing clients with trauma as well as co-occurring diagnosis and substance misuse across cultures. She has worked in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric facilities with adolescents and their families within the United States and Europe. Ms. Herrin also worked and consulted within correctional facilities, judicial systems, educational settings, and private practice. She is currently working in Germany as an LPC alongside the United States Department of Defense.
Ms. Herrin is a member of the Ethics Committee of the Middle East Psychological Association (MEPA), Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia (LPCAGA) and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT). Ms. Herrin’s research interests include transnationalism, refugee rights and current forced migration trends.

I am a Forensic Psychologist with experience also in the areas of clinical and organizational psychology. I have worked in Australia and the UAE for government and non-government organizations. My particular area of expertise is in assessments (of forensic, clinical and organizational matters), but I also deliver treatment, primarily through CBT but also through interpersonal therapy, DBT, and others.
