Dr. Olga Pykhtina received her PhD in ounselling (play & art and CBT), Newcastle University. She earned her Play Therapy certification through Canadian Association of Child & Play Therapy, which was followed by work with primary school children who suffered emotional, sexual and physical abuse, including neglect, domestic violence and behavioural problems.
Dr. Olga is an Associate Fellow of the British Higher Education Academy and holds an O.A. Diploma in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and O.A. Diploma in Autism Awareness. Her research interests include the use of digital technology and multi touch tabletops in the areas of Counselling and Education.
I am in private practice. I specialize in grief and loss, chronic illness. Chemical dependency, hospice and palliative care and hospice. On staff at Huntington Beach Hospital behavioral health unit working with chronic mental illness
