I am Nazia Savrimootoo, based in Amman. I have worked as an inclusion specialist before specializing in, and starting to practice as, an educational psychologist. I work with learners of all ages, who face challenges in school environments, whether socially or academically, and work with both learners and teachers to help ensure that the teaching and learning process is inclusive and caters for the needs of all learners. Psycho-educational testing is part of my intervention, which also includes helping learners develop strategies to cope with the demands of the curriculum they are studying. In addition to this, I work with learners to cater for any social, emotional and behavioral issues they may be facing, both in and out of school. I believe in inclusion and aim at making sure learners' needs are met in school. I am an Ed Doctorate candidate focusing on the reconciliation of education and psychology to achieve better inclusion in international schools.
